Dr Darryl Gregor

Dr Darryl Gregor Well known as a pioneer in cataract surgery, Dr Gregor is a foundation member of the International Society of Refractive Surgeons. In order to keep abreast of the latest developments in Ophthalmology, Dr Gregor maintains international affiliations. He regularly attends conferences and workshops to ensure delivery of the best possible services to his patients.

A master of precision and a vision correcting surgeon since 1991, he is a person who genuinely enjoys serving his patients. Dr Gregor is clearly at the leading edge of his profession.

Dr Peter Heiner Delivering world-standard practice is Dr Heiner's objective every time he deals with a patient. His long experience since 1991 in laser surgery is matched by his uncompromising dedication to keeping abreast of the latest advances in the demanding world of ophthalmology, causing him to attend international symposia and conferences on ophthalmology on a regular basis. Dr Robert Bourke Dr Robert Bourke has established a reputation for excellence in the delicate surgery of the retina at the back of the eye. He has capitalised on extensive overseas experience and brought new techniques to the solution of previously untreatable conditions. In a logical extension to this sophisticated surgical skill, Bob has chosen to incorporate LASIK, an innovative elective procedure, into his surgical armamentarium.


Dr Stephen Godfrey

Dr Stephen Godfrey After graduating from the University of Queensland Medical School, Dr Stephen Godfrey had seven years of invaluable and enjoyable general practice as a country Medical Superintendent, working predominantly in the central west of Queensland. After returning to Brisbane to complete his ophthalmology specialist training under the Queensland Training Scheme, Dr Godfrey was very fortunate to gain the opportunity of working for 18 months at Taunton Hospital in Somerset, England. There, he completed his general ophthalmological training in all major sub-specialty areas. Dr Godfrey is looking forward with enthusiasm to developing an extremely varied, multi-service general ophthalmology practice, facilitated within the dedicated specialist environment of Vision Eye Institute, Southport, Coolangatta and Robina.


Dr Lee Lenton
MB.BS (QLD), FRACO, FRACS

Dr Lee LentonDr Lee Lenton is a member of the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists, the American Academy of Ophthalmologists and the American Cataract and Refractive Surgery Society. In 1995, Dr Lenton was one of the first Surgeons to perform LASIK in Australia and was the first in Australia to master same day LASIK surgery for both eyes and performs it routinely. To date, he has performed over 3500 procedures throughout Australia and Asia. Dr Lenton is involved in training Australian and overseas Ophthalmologists in the LASIK procedure and has lectured as well has performed live teaching demonstrations in Australia, Singapore, Vietnam and main land China. This experience has evolved into a special interest in the development of Ophthalmic tele-medicine for distant locations. Between his private practices, based in Brisbane and Townsville, Dr Lee Lenton is involved in Refractive surgery and consulting as well as being visiting Medical Specialist at the Townville hospital and the Vision Day Surgery, Townsville.


Dr. Frank Howes
M.B., Ch.B., MMed, F.C.S., F.R.C.S., F.R.C.Ophth., F.R.A.N.Z.C.O.

Dr. Frank Howes Dr Howes completed fellowships in glaucoma and refractive surgery in North America and England. Prior to joining the River City practice in Brisbane, he was the Director of Ophthalmic Services in the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust where he guided the Unit through the cataract modernisation program, producing high flow quality cataract surgery systems and a comprehensive service delivery and teaching unit. Dr Howes was also on the board of the Rosen Eye Surgery Centre in Manchester, and he was a senior clinician and lecturer laser refractive surgery in the Boots Company. He has lectured widely in both refractive surgery and glaucoma, and he is a reviewer for the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He continues to be a pioneer in the fields of IOL design, astigmatic correction, and selective laser trabeculoplasty.
