Technolas 217z Excimer Laser
In over 95% of cases, a painless procedure known as LASIK is used to achieve clear vision without glasses or contact lenses by the use of the Technolas 217z Excimer laser. In this procedure a thin flap of corneal tissue is folded back. A computer controlled laser beam is then used to reshape the cornea. This restores clear vision painlessly. The Excimer laser is so accurate that it is able to remove tissue equivalent to 1/400th of the diameter of a human hair.

The Technolas 217z Excimer laser, designed specifically for LASIK, utilizes a small, flying-spot laser beam in a randomized pattern to produce an extremely smooth corneal surface. The proven LASIK algorithm enables treatment of 6 dioptres of myopia or 3 dioptres of hyperopia in as little as 30 seconds. A 120 Hz active scanner feedback mechanism ensures that every pulse is placed exactly as prescribed in the algorithm.
LASIK surgery at The Laservision Centre now incorporates state of the art aberration correction and eye movement tracking. The combination of the Technolas 217z Excimer laser and the Zywave aberration analyser (aberrometer) means that The Laservision Centre is now able to correct not only your underlying glasses prescription, but the more subtle distortions of vision that cannot be corrected with standard LASIK surgery systems.
As an early adopter of this advanced technology, The Laservision Centre is able to provide the very best care available. With this sophisticated pre-operative analysis and delivery system The Laservision Centre is able to exclusively offer "PersonalEyes" refractive solutions. By reducing these aberrations we can provide you with optimal visual quality.
Zyoptix

Zyoptix is a total personalized wave front guided LASIK treatment. Zyoptix is an advanced version of LASIK which can achieve an even sharper vision. It is based on the same technology that helps astronomers to see stars more clearly. It is this customized treatment that produces superior results.
Iris Recognition
Iris Recognition and Multi-Dimensional Eye Tracker Technology tract the most minute movement of the iris during the procedure. This advancement addresses the safety factor and ensures the laser pulses are placed correctly on the resulting in safer and more accurate outcomes.
Orbscan II

Orbscan II utilizes proven Placido keratoscopy combined with multiple slit video keratography to provide an exact analysis of the corneal surface topography. Additional information gathered includes the curvature of the posterior corneal surface, the depth of the anterior chamber of the eye and the diameter of the cornea. The thickness of the cornea is also presented having been derived from the thousands of data points analyzed.
Zywave
Zywave provides Hartmann-Shack aberrometry to analyze the deformation of the wavefront of the optical image formed by all of the optical components of the eye. This sophisticated technological breakthrough enables us to understand what sometimes causes the subjective quality of vision to be less than expected. Advanced computer analysis of these measurements when combined with data from the Orbscan II, using the patented Zylink software provides the first truly personalized LASIK vision solution.
